Creating a stencil using Photoshop

To start off the process i chose an image of an urban environment and a piece of art from the internet which i would then merge together. The image of the artwork was edited to look like a stencil, for this i adjusted the threshold level and used the pallet knife to manipulate the stroke size. Using the move tool, i inserted the stencil onto my background. To add the effect of the train going in front of the artwork, i made a copy of the train and inserted it into a new layer. I used the transform tools and the multiply tool on the artwork's layer to position it and help it blend into the background.

Cathedral sketch

Firstly we scanned one of our pieces of which we've done so far in the urban art topic. We started off the photo editing process by opening up the scanned image in photoshop and adjusted the contrast to a decent level. We cropped the image to 15 cms by 10cms  with a resolution of 300. With a copy of the original image we inverted the colours.
