Scanning, adjusting size, contrast and colour of patterns

In this task we had to use one of our pattern pieces, scan it and manipulate the colours to give an effect similar to some of Andy Warhol.
After adjusting the size of the scan, I used the hue and saturation tool in the image menu to change the colours. After i did this three more times I arranged them on a new canvas.

Repeat Pattern

After scanning one of our pattern designs we opened them up in photoshop and cropped them so they were 400x400 pixels. To turn this into a repeat pattern we used the define pattern tool and when it came to filling the background on a new page we selected the design.

I played around with different colour effects to brighten the image up.

Photoshop Surface Pattern

Using Photoshop, i created several different surface patterns from images of guitars, drums etc.
The first step in creating them was to find the images and open them up in photoshop. After this, i needed to select the object and turn it into a paint brush. To do this i used the quick select tool to select the background then I in versed the selection and then used define brush preset tool to turn it into a brush.
Using the paint brush menu, i adjusted the scrollers which manipulated the size and orientation of the brush strokes.
